Adel Kalemcilik was founded in 1969 in Kartal, Istanbul. Known for its production quality, Adel is the first brand that comes to mind regarding stationery in Türkiye. The company strengthened its collaboration with Faber-Castell, the world's oldest writing instruments company. With the power of this partnership, which started in 1995, Adel continues its investments that add value to Türkiye.

In 2015, the company moved to its new production facility in Çayırova and now produces wood-walled pencils, coloring and copy pencils, ballpoint pens, liquid ink pens, markers, felt-tip pens, crayons, watercolors, erasers, pencil sharpeners, finger paints and playdough in that facility built on an area of 36 thousand square meters.

With over 50 years of deep-rooted history and over 3,000 product varieties, the company sells and markets Adel, Faber-Castell, Graf von Faber-Castell, and Panfix branded stationery products and exports to over 30 countries.

The company, which bases its production philosophy on the motto “We never bring to market any product that we would not allow our own kids to use.” conducts nearly 10 thousand product safety tests and 30 thousand product quality tests annually.

Since its foundation, Adel has carried out all its activities to benefit its stakeholders, society, and sustainability. Adel also carries out numerous sponsorship and social responsibility projects in this context.

Since 2023, the company has been managed by Oğuz Uçanlar, CEO of Adel/Faber-Castell, with the vision of going beyond being a traditional stationery company and transforming into an “Education and Office Technologies” company empowered by a broad product portfolio in line with the spirit and requirements of the times.

Adel Kalemcilik operates in partnership with Anadolu Group and Faber-Castell. In 1996, the company went public, and 27.71% of its shares are listed on Borsa Istanbul.
